Playstation 3 and Wii facts on E-bay It was a well known fact that the sale of PS3's and Nintendo Wii's on E-bay would be pretty crazy. Gamasutra was kind enough to track the buying frenzy on E-bay for the first week/5-days that PS3 and Wii were released.

14,675 Playstation 3 units were sold between Nov. 17 and Nov. 24 for an average price of $1,186.39.

26,708 Nintendo Wii's were sold between Nov. 19 and Nov. 24 for an average price of $412.53.

However, the Playstation 3's average price bumps up to $1,369.90 if one were to add the Pre-sale tickets that were sold before the actual release. These auctions started on Oct. 24, and accounted for 13,558 mroe sales, for a total of 28,233 PS3 systems E-bayed, easily dominating the the Nintendo Wii in not only numbers sold, but price.
