Watch Movies, TV shows, and Anime all with your PS3 Browser
Here is yet another great thing you can use your PS3 for. Open up your PS3 browser and navigate it on over to Your TV Links. Now if you want to watch movies, click on the movies link, for TV Shows, click the TV shows link, etc etc...

So you might be thinking how am I going to watch movies, with the poor support for digital formats that the PS3 currently has? Well almost all of the movies and shows on this website are in flash format, which the PS3 CAN play. I have no doubt that this website is highly illegal and will eventually be shut down, but it sure is sweet while it is up. Their are even quite a few movies that haven't come out on DVD yet.

So check it out, and watch some movies with your PS3 on your big screen tv or whatever it is you have.

  It's an angel you noob!
So even though it has already been done, and now this is just played out, a radio station held some sort of "contest" in which if a kid could answer a question correctly, he would win a PS3, if he was wrong, the PS3 would be SMASHED! Well we have already seen a PS3 get smashed, so this really isn't that exciting or clever. But the question they asked this kid was pretty darn easy if you ask me. You be the judge.

The TRUTH About the PS3's Backwoard Compatibility
The backwards compatibility of the PS3 has been somewhat of an issue ever since the release of the Next-Gen console. Has SONY really dropped the ball thus far on allowing PS1 and PS2 games to look like crap on the new PS3? Or are things being blown way out of proportion? Here is some food for thought:

Sony Still Promising 1 Million PS3's by End of Year
While Sony reportedly only sold 197,000 of it's PS3 console in the month of November (less than half of it's promised 400,000 units), they still promise to deliver 1 Million PS3's by the end of the year.

According to Dave Karraker, senior director of corporate communications at Sony, manufacturing problems have been solved and they will ship 1 million PS3's by the end of the year. Karraker also stated that their should be a steady stream of PS3's shipped to North America throughout the remainder of 2006.

With Sony's manufacturing issues, sales of their PS3's came in 3rd amongst the Next-gen consoles behind the Nintendo Wii and XBox360, but I would expect to see much better numbers for the PS3 in December. We shall wait and see.

Does the PS3 have a higher scratch tolerance on DVD's??
I've been seeing some discussion lately on whether the PS3 has a higher scratch tolerance for playing DVD's than the XBOX360 or not? One blogger spoke of how discs that the XBOX would decline and give errors when trying to read, the PS3 would read just fine and play without any troubles. Another blogger pointed out that from his past experience with the PS1 and PS2 systems, in about 3 months or so the PS3 may not read these scratched DVD's quite as well.

Personally I am hoping that Sony has chosen to use a higher quality laser system to read the Next-Gen Blu-Ray discs it was designed for. But perhaps only time will tell. I would be interested in hearing if anyone out there has experienced ANY problems thus far in readying scratched or beaten up dvd's.

  Good Blu-Ray Info
Here is a pretty good video about Blu-Ray technology and some of the features and potential it brings with the PS3. The video also shows some gameplay from Genji: Days of the Blade. I downloaded the demo of this game from the PS3 store, and I can't really say I was all that impressed. Definately one that will not be on my list to buy in the future.

  Noob Alert
Well first thing that comes to mind when seeing this video is well.... thats not good. But honestly it was probably the own guys fault, it's not THAT hard to put a game into the PS3. He may have even set it up, and already had a disc inside the PS3. Either way, this guy is a total n00b if you ask me, and should donate his PS3 to someone who deserves it.

Bill O' Reilly speaks on the "violence" and "mayhem" over the PS3
Well all I can say is at least it's not as bad as the violence over tickle me elmo's by middle aged housewives. This is kind of an interesting commentary, but more so it's just an exaggeration of the actual facts. I guess that is O' Reilly's job....

Here is just a little quote I found quite hilarious:

"We're creating a nation of zombies here. I mean.. this is serious."

Lol, Bill is a funny guy.
